export selected tracks as new session?

I highlight the tracks i want to export in the edit window and hit export and it exports the entire session as a save copy in...

What am I missing here?

it will only export to another PT10 format session. If you change it to 7-9 then it will revert to normal Save Copy In behavior.

Unfortunately yes. As soon as everyone hops on board with 10 we'll be flying though :)

Its going to be such a time saver. Even with the work around of having to open up a ptx and make it a ptf it still saves time.

I´d say as soon as they implement "save selection as PT session" instead of "save selected tracks as session" we´ll be flying through. ;-) but "save tracks as session" is a step in the right direction.

That would be very nice. I do some episodic and tend to cut it all in a super session so highlighting what I need to send to the stage would be great.

Same with movie reels for mixes that have separate session for each reel.
