Meters Peak Hold????????

Meters never release the overs at any setting hold for 3sec, no hold...Is this a bug that's been around for along time or what? [img]images/icons/rolleyes.gif[/img]

Hello,

This is normal behavior. The red, over/clip light indicator is different than the peak/hold bar (inside the plasma meter). Once illuminated, you must always click the red LED to reset it.

Maybe I'm insane, but I always thought the "plasma" in "plasma meters" was to describe the specific type of sealed, gas-filled, charged atom electronic illumination system used on specific types of non-LED illuminated bargraph meters... Like those $400-a-pop things in some SSL and Neve V-series meterbridges..

peak hold bar inside the plasma meters within Pro Tools? You mean next to the fader? If so, then the meter next to the fader doesn't have a 3 sec hold...........

Tom, there are three options, 3 second -holds the peak indicator for three seconds, then finds a new "peak", infinite - holds until you click if off, and no peak hold.

Ok now, We are talking about the same meter and I'm familiar with the modes in the preference menu......Now, when in 3 sec hold or no hold mode the meter holds infinitely until I clear manually?
