Default Worked with 8.0.3. - doesnt with 8.0.4

Hi there I`m new here. I`m using Cubase 5.1 for midi editing and Pro Tools 8.0.4. for recording and mixing on Windows 7 64-bit. I have Focusrite pro 24 dsp card and a Mbox 2 Mini.

I want to switch to one interface (probably Mbox 2 Pro or something else) that I can use with Cubase and Pro Tools. I want to sell focusrite and stick to the digidesign interface but recently I`ve started to hear crackles in Cubase using Mbox2 mini.
It worked almost perfect with the version 8.0.3. but with the upgrade to 8.0.4. im not able to hear anything proper in Cubase even with the buffers as high as 2048... Do you guys have same problems?

Thanks,
Danilo

i have the same problem. I have Mbox 2 (USB)
i do all the midi work and arranges on cubase and do the audio work recordings on protools.
8.0.3 did not had any problems on cubase
but on 8.0.4 there is a problem on the audios
regardless of bit rates on the audio file, it makes crackle sounds.
On protools, no problem playing audio files.
It will help if i change the buffer size to 2048, t reduces the crackle sound on cubase but there will be a latency.
I really appreciate digidesign updated this version for windows playback, but i really need to solve this problem asap.
I do compose write music on cubase, and cannot import any audio files!

If I was having this issue and needed an immediate workaround, I would dual boot. Think about it.

We're seeing some problems with the ASIO driver in a few different systems, though it doesn't appear to happen on all systems.

We'll be looking into a fix for this asap.

i talked to the technical support and their answer was that i have to deal that with steinberg TS. how that can be steinbergs problem when everything worked perfectly with 8.0.3. [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep] started to happen when i INSTALLED 8.0.4 update.

Obviously it is up to you guys. We will be gratefully thankful if you can work on this problem. Thanks

I tried 8.0.4 and it happened to me also . . .I just went back to 8.0.3!!! I now wait for cs updates on new versions (upgrades) so that all kinks can be worked out.

I can not get Sony's Acid 7, Vegas 9 or Sound Forge 10 to work on the new PT 8.04 ASIO drivers.

Seriously Digi, this needs to be fixed. (I realize that doesn't help you any, just adding my voice to the chorus )
Has anyone had any success with 8.0.4 and other software?

I haven't had any real problems with Sonar 8.5, Reason 4.0.1, Reaper, or FL Studio. But I haven't used any of those very extensively yet with the new drivers.

I've tried both my 002R and my MBox 2 Mini. Initially, I was having trouble in Pro Tools with buffer settings under 256, but I solved that by plugging the mini into a different USB port.
