The upgrade prices listed on Digi's web site are LIST PRICES. Yes, it costs $7995 list to upgrade from ProTools III -> Mixplus. But your dealer will give you a street price on that, and you return your old hardware to your dealer, who in turn sends it back to Digi.

I'm guessing you shouldn't pay more than $6500 for that upgrade, if that. Not that it makes you feel any better, but it makes a difference.
