Default Control 24 Power Supply Problems

I bought a new Control 24 in July of 2005. I've never had a problem with it until recently. Usually I do not power it down unless I see an AZ lighting storm on the way. A couple of days ago I powered down the studio and now when I turn on the C24 I just hear a click or tick tick sound coming from inside, near the power switch. Instead of powering up, it just continues to tick and lightly flash lights on the desktop. The only thing that I did differently in this case was that I accidentally had my G5 & external drive running at the time I switched off my Furman power supply. I have the C24 running into a power strip that is plugged into a Furman power supply. The way I power it down is to shut off the monitors / amps, Pro Tools HD2/ G5, my 192 I/O then by just killing the power source.

The warning I'm getting on my monitor is that there is an Ethernet issue and they suggest power cycling my router, hub & modem.
I've tried that as well. My big concern is that the C24 is not even reading "OFFLINE". This is making me wonder if it is the power supply.

On a separate note, can anyone tell me why I get a warning to update my C24 firmware, right after I've finished updating it?

HELP, ANYONE, how can I get my studio back up and running without going broke or putting bands on hold forever or both?

It sounds just like the power harness problems with the digi002, power it up, it "klicks" 3-4 times and.....nothing. I´ve had my 002 in for service 3 times with the same thing! But fixed as a guaranty-problem all times.
