Incorrect TC Stamp from video post to ANY other session.
We've been having this problem for a while, and Avid hasn't been able to help as they want to see error logs from an Avid video session when we import the audio, but the files import incorrectly to ANY session, including ProTools.
I'm just wondering if anyone else is seeing this... here are some screen captures and I'll explain the problem. This shows the original info of the bounced stereo file back into the same ProTools session. 80-90 tracks mixed through our SSL C200 console and exported out for import into Avid video. Because we've had problems with this before, we have been forced to use Sound Devices' WAVE AGENT to correct the 1-3 frame differences in the time stamp, and also confirm the file is at 29DF. When we import this file into an Avid or ProTools session, you can see the original time stamp is incredibly wrong. In the mix timeline, there was nothing at that time stamp and, in fact, two different mix files came out with the exact Original Time Stamp. All systems are ref'd to house [email protected] and house [email protected]. ProTools system is 2019.12 Ultimate HDX2 on OS 10.13.6, mid-2012 Mac Pro Tower with 40GB RAM. I am at a loss!! At least using Wave Agent, we can enter the correct user stamp and our Avid editors can place it properly. This started about 1-year ago... anyone else seen this?
