Soundtoys 5.3.2: Ready For macOS Catalina

We’re happy to announce that Soundtoys 5 plug-ins are now fully compatible with macOS Catalina.

For Windows users, 5.3.2 fixes an issue where controls could move to their minimum position and stop responding to mouse movements. Double-clicking to reset controls is working again, and this version also fixes a problem where plug-ins were sometimes blacklisted in Cubase (this issue can also be resolved by installing the latest version of the iLok License Manager).

32-Bit Plug-ins Discontinued

In Soundtoys 5.3.2 we’ve finally discontinued support for 32-bit plug-ins. With macOS Catalina requiring all applications to be 64-bit, and with the vast majority of our PC customers now using 64-bit plug-ins, we decided it was the right time to end 32-bit support. We understand that some users still need time to transition away from 32-bit plug-ins, so you can still visit this page to download the final 32-bit release if you need it.

Thanks for this heads-up as I hadn't received anything from Soundtoys on this.

All the Soundtoys emails ended up in our trash by no fault of mine and had to add their email address to VIP otherwise I missed every update but saw them here Thank God (or Deity of choice) and now we get them in the Vip mail option. Tried to add ST to address book but still went straight to trash. Weird stuff for sure!

Sorry, too lazy to check, it I’ve been noticing IK has been doing a steady run of Catalina compatible updates over the last month or two. Anyone using IK should give it a check.

Updated UltraReverb, Octavox, and Quadravox with retina graphics
Added tail clearing on playback start/stop and plugin bypass/unbypass for delay and reverb plugins (where applicable, subject to host and plugin format support)
Fix occasional crash during installation on macOS High Sierra
Fix issue where plugin was not loading in GarageBand on macOS Catalina

It's not the Anthology installer but individual plugins also have updates so if you don't have the Anthology check the individual plugins.
