Default Is Virtual Katy gone?

After manually reconforming a 90-minute movie recut yesterday, I asked the studio owner if we had any reconforming software so I wouldn't have to do that again. He said there was a copy of Virtual Katy there, so I went to their website to see what I could learn about it, but the site has been down all day. I can't seem to find any references to it on this or any other site that are more recent than a new fire-sale price last year and a few comments that it doesn't work with PT11.

Can anyone comment on whether (a) the company still exists and (b) even if it doesn't, is there a chance the software we already have will work in our PT11 studio?

Conformalizer works pretty well, and is reasonably priced. It also goes on sale about twice a year.

Virtual Katy was sold off to a Singaporean firm some time ago. Another good alternative is http://www.soundsinsync.com/products/ediload

Thanks guys! I downloaded the Trial Demo of Conformalizer, and I'm sold.

Conformalizer is great and easy.

One note: it doesn't support Drop Frame, so it's useless for long-form American TV using DF.

Good to know, Tom, thanks!

Pretty much everything I do now is at 23.976fps which Conformalizer seems to be OK with, but I'll watch for that if it comes up.

Conformalizer does actually support Drop Frame.

I just tested the latest version of Conformalizer in a 29.97DF session and it's working as expected.

Tom, what was the issue you found?

Poppycock!!

Ive used Conformalizer with 44:30 length shows since 2009.
I might have had an issue with it (DF) back then, Justin released a fix within hours.
But has been fine since.
Oh and 23.98 has to be treated as 24 in the software.
