Default Behringer ADA8000?

Hey guys,

I have a macbook 2.0ghz, 2GB RAM, a m-audio 1814, and a firewire external hard drive. I was wanting to know what you guys thought about the Behringer ADA8000? I can't afford a really good mic preamp but I need one with ADAT and 8 mic pres...this seems like a great buy. How does it sound...any problems with it?

Seth,
Use the DUC search for ADA8000"...
There are a few happy and possibly more dissatisfied users here..
Draw your conclusion, although IMO it would be a good first piece to get into recording.
You can always sell it or throw it out later, once better quality is required.

happy tooling,
andrew

lemix said it perfectly(usually does). I look at Behringer stuff as functional and disposable. Use it till it no longer does what you need and move on. For the price, you can't beat it with a stick and as your skills and ears develope, you will know when to upgrade.

I bought it to have 16 ins, made some money from those recordings, bought something better. It served its purpose, and did it pretty well and was very cheap. I'd suggest it, just search the DUC how to hook it up though.
