MBox 2 Issues - Firmware

I'm having connectivity issues w/ my MBox 2 and PT 8.0.5 LE. I'm running it on Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I've tried almost everything except changing the firmware. I currently have 1.43 and want to try and downgrade back to 1.38. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

Did you try running the 1.38 Firmware Updater?

Yeah. It tells me that I already have 1.43 installed.

Try reinstalling the driver.
The USB cable is also a usual suspect.

I've tried both drivers that are on the Avid site, 10.3.3 and 9.0 with no luck. Also tried different cables and all the USB ports. Is there a place that show the driver information? The only spot that I've found is the System Preferences, which just notes the firmware; the Audio Midi Driver app gives the same info.

In the Audio Midi Setup should it be listing both a Digi CoreAudio Device as well as the Digidesign MBox 2? Also, when opening the CoreAudio Manager, the Status is Not Connected (HW not found). When I click the Connect button nothing happens.

Also, in System Preferences, it shows the MBox 2, but it says that it has 0in / 0out. So it's being recognized, but there's an error in the communication. This is driving me off the wall!
