We use Splice all the time BUT at the most pricey optiion you only get 600 points and a whole useful bundle is 1500-4000 points so remember it does cost a LOT if you want to download the good bundles.

I'd avoid downloading whole collections unless all the samples are worth having. I personally audition each sample. Some are worth grabbing and some not. Foe example, how many 808 variations does one need?!

Some packs are bloated and unnecessarily large. Just grab the ones which stand out.

Just thought I'd also mention that every month Computer Music magazine offers a boatload of free loops from places like Groove Criminals, Cyclick, and others. As with any free collection like that, there's a lot of dross, but there's also some nice gems, too.

I've found them easy to use whether placing directly onto a track with elastic audio to sync up to tempo, or imported into something like AIR Transfuser.

Just another option.

Not sure if this is a bunch of useless junk or worth $43 but here’s a collection that’s on sale right now.....

+1 for Splice.

You listen to sounds/loops that fits before you decide to download.

Worth making clear that Splice (at least) lets you come and go, Netflix style, so you only ever need an active sub when you actually want to download stuff. You do lose any unused credits though, if you cancel.

Actually, LoopCloud is especially worth considering if you’re a Waves customer. I believe they have an exclusive Starter Pack on top of the normal stuff. It won’t be a lot, probably a taste of every genre, but it’s something.

As mentioned

LoopCloud and LoopMasters (same company along with Plugin Boutique)

Are great.

Ghosthack also makes some good stuff for not much $$$

Sounds.com is another option and very useful if you are in the Native Instruments world. (NI owns Sounds)

And there is Komplete Ultimate 12 Collectors Edition which includes TONS (over 65+ GBs) of loops (called Expansions).

And something else to consider is Output Arcade go ahead and try it free for 30 days.

Agree totally with that. Most sounds can be picked and chosen from all bundles but we were not paying attention when we first started lit with Splice and kept buying the 600 point options all the time as we .. well I thought we need to download the whole bundle LOL .. You live snd learn

I did end up going with Splice and realized that as well. I went with the 300 per month and picked various samples from a number of different collections. I’ll probably grab 2 to 3 months worth and then stop my subscription and restart it when I feel like I’m in need of something particular.
