Support for Apple Thunderbolt to FireWire Adapter is limited to devices that require less than 10W of power.

Thanks for the link! Now does anyone know how much the mbox pro 3 requires?

Doesn't matter.

Mbox 3 Pro can not be powered by FireWire, it requires AC power. It just transfers audio via FireWire.

In this respect it is not like the old Mbox 2 Pro, which was powered by FireWire.

Your post can result in people buying the new MBP only to find out you were wrong and it doesn't work. Not everyone can go to an apple store and this is a post about the new MacBook Pro in the protools forum for FireWire interfaces. Don't be an ass.
Thanks for repeating my exact point, all you care about is does your exact setup work.

You are being the ass here. Multiple posts of drivel from you in multiple threads about this and now you finally say what you exactly want to test. You could have just asked if anybody has that working. And still no reports of where you heard this "information". If you want help don't behave like a troll.

Ah, got ya, thanks for that. So technically, it should work.
