Default Special Characters in PT11 not supported?

Is there any reason, that the german characters like ÄÖÜß are not supported for Track names or filenames?

Actually i have to deliver some 1000 files containing these characters and do not want to rename them manually in the finder!

Known issue.
See here:

http://protools.ideascale.com/a/dtd/...ps/112637-3779

When spotting files with soundminer containing umlauts to PT11 the clips will be labeled with weird math symbols (square roots and others).

I experience the same when it comes to naming session files and exports. I'm on a Danish os running osx 10.8

Hello. In a similar vein, I recently came across the fact that if you have a file with a slash character on it, Pro Tools 11 will not read it and the file will be unaccessible from the Workspace. Once you take out the slash the file is accessible again.

I created a thread about it.

I just renamed a file with umlauts in 11.1.3. Saved. Re-opened. All worked fine. Have you trashed all prefs, DBs etc. after updating?

indeed - saving & reopening the relinked session in 11.1.3 DOES work! The Problem only occurs opening an older session conatining clip names with umlauts...
