Default Link 2 OSX versions of Oxford Plugs & Digi\'s delay

Anyone know where I can find the OSX updates?

Also, old session using Digi's Slap Delay and Medium Delay can't find them. Are they phased out or do I need to download them sepearately for OSX?

Thanks,

DC

I just dealt with this issue when recalling an old (pre-OS X) session. Digi phased out the old "Mod Delay" plug-in and replaced it with the "Delay II" version for PT6 (OSX). I was really bummed when it appeared that all my old delay settings were lost and would need to be recreated. A buddy informed me of the following and saved the day.

In your Pro Tools 6 install CD there is a folder nested 2 levels deep called "Unsupported Software" that contains an OSX/PT6 compatible version of the old "Mod Delay". Insert the install CD and do a finder search for "Mod Delay" to reveal it.

Drag that Mod Delay plug-in into your OSX/Digidesign Plug-Ins folder (from the root level of your system drive go to > Library > Application Support > Digidesign > Plug-Ins). then re-launch Pro Tools and open your session. The old delays should now be restored properly.

Digi discourages using the mod delay plug-in for any reason other than restoring old sessions. Apparently the new version sounds better, and will of course be more compatible with other OSX/PT6 rigs, so if your creating new delay FX in a session, use the Delay II - not the Mod Delay.

Hope that helps,

maxx
