How good is the MBox, really?
Hi,
I'll make this short and sweet. I'm thinking about selling my setup (which includes a powermac g4 and digi001) for a simplified, more portable setup. Here's what I'm thinking of getting: - powerbook g4 1.3ghz 12" model with maxed our RAM and 80gig HD - MBox Here's what I want to do: - Basic music recording, i.e. guitar, vocals, etc. and sequencing/recording with Reason 2.5 which I currently own. - Also some video editing using final cut express 2 doing mostly short films and documentaries. Now my questions are... How good is the MBox with handling latency from Reason? Can the powerbook handle my waves native powerpack plugins? Should I hold out for the G5 powerbooks? Thanks, matt |
