Default PT drops recording issues

Hi , I'm using Pro Tools to record like 100-200 channels at one time, while PT is in slave mode (when master tells it to start, then it starts to playback and record). Sometimes I met the occasion that Pro Tools suddenly stops sync&recording and then starts to playback in sync without recording.

This occasion is mainly because of CPU spike? (I monitored that CPU is not high at all)
or disk too slow? (I had a raid 0 of 2 disks , which I think it's fast enough for recording 200 channels)
or some plugins I used are taking too much CPU?

or sync via MTC has this issues....
Thanks

Did you try to increase freewheel parameter?

It is number of frames Pro Tools doesn't care for incoming TC drop. Look at Session Setup window

Dumb question, but do you have transport and audio track record lock engaged in preferences? PT might be more reliable doing this if it doesn't need a specific REC command...

I set it to 120...and there's still drop recording occasionally... However, change into jam sync will never stop recording.

I understand what does the freewheel means...but it looks like 120 is not enough for me.
1. A way to set it higher than 120?
2. Will Jam sync cause not in the sync/ or in wrong time position if I played it for a long time?
3. I didn't meet drop while playing back in syn cmode, only in recording ....which part could be wrong? not enough CPU because recording costs more CPU?

If your master causes TC-dropouts that are as long as 5 seconds I'd rather fix the master generator than using even higher flywheel settings. 120 frames of flywheel is a huge value in that context.

Are you sure are getting problematic TC for that long?
