Default Shifting all audio tracks at once

Hi all, I am taking a sound design class for my university and we are using Pro Tools. I have used PT before but it has been a while. Basically what happened is that I recorded a bunch of stuff that I liked, but I realized that I wanted to add a 20 second intro or so. How can I shift all the audio tracks out simultaneously 20 or so seconds so that I can record my intro? I tried highlighting everything with the selector tool and then using the grabber tool to move it but it didn't work. Please lmk.

Thanks.

Try selecting all tracks and highlighting 20 seconds or so of space on all of them then copy that selection. Then, in shuffle mode, put the cursor somewhere before all the tracks start, make sure that the cursor is on all the selected tracks. You can make the cursor spans all the selected tracks by holding down the shift key and pressing the "p" key to go up and the ";" key to go down. Then paste.

  • enable the All group
  • click on any track
  • select all (Command+A)
  • cut (X)
  • hit equal (=), and type in where you want it, and hit Enter
  • paste (V)
