Default Digi003 Rack Problems

Hello, I mainly use Pro Tools on a mac pro, my main studio computer, but recently got a new Macbook pro, and wanted to install Pro Tools on it. Macbooks now only come with firewire 800 ports, so I got a firewire 400 -> 800 converter, and connected my Digi003 rack. However, that apparently fried the firewire port that I was using on my digi003 rack, even though when I had connected it, I made sure to have the digi003 rack powered down.

I then reconnected the digi003 rack, through the other firewire port, to my mac pro. After using Pro Tools for a little while, I closed down the application and went back to it later. However, now it won't start up, stalling at "Creating DAE Objects" and then giving the message "Pro Tools hardware is either not installed or used by another program," even though Protools was the only application open.

I have since restarted both the digi003 rack and my computer multiple times, tried connecting through different firewire ports on my computer, and what not, I have reinstalled Pro Tools and the Coreaudio driver too, but to no avail. PLEASE HELP ME

Default Re: Digi003 Rack Problems

I should also add some additional information:

- Mac Pro 3,1, Quad-Core Intel Xion, 2.8 GHZ
- OS 10.5.8
- Digi003 Rack
- Protools 8.0.5
- 4 GB ram
- Other than the digi003 rack I have connected, I have a logic XS key, iLok, keyboard/mouse, that's about it.
