Default Fader pack and Monitor section

I have recently encountered two seperate issues with my PC w/ FP.

First; monitor section periodically hums in a cylce pattern, very annoying. Have any of you PC users come across this?

Second; One fader on expanssion pack seemed to be lost in a session. This fader was utterly useless when only pulling that session up. Other sessions the fader was fine. Never heard of that one before. Any of you had a similar problem?

Thanks,
Jasper

I had the "gimp" fader once that seemed related to the specific track on a session. I think I moved the track to another location and it woke up the fader.

I think I might also have deleted the track and then re-created it. It's been a couple years...

Our PC has consistently had the oscillation/hum problem. We've gotten around it by using the aux speakers but with setting up 5.1, the problem has to be fixed. Any solutions since October?

Could you explain this a bit more please? Is this hum happening only in the surround outputs or all or?

As far as cyclic hum goes, it may sound like an odd question but, how high is your AC wall voltage?

Thanks,

Stan Cotey

As for the gimp fader...sometimes you need to go to utility-test-faders-wave to wake up the little bast-rd.
Good luck
