Default Does this make sense to anyone?

OK so I got hurt and need to post some projects from home.

Here's what I did:

Using PT 5 on a G3 and outputting MTC with a MTP to another machine (ibook with the video output cable) running PT free with a QT movie loaded. It seems to hold sync. Is this crazy?

This is not my permanent system - it's just to do a project until I can go back to work (from an accident).

Is this totally wrong?

No, not at all. This was a regular working method, before computers were strong enough to perform both at the same time.
