If you want a swing feel to line up to a grid, use a triplet feel. A swing is based on 3, it just omits one of the triplets...one is short and one is long or visa versa.

“Inst 1” is the straight feel w/ a 16th note grid. I quantized the swing 100% and then bussed it to “Audio 5” to print the audio. Then I set my edit window grid to 1/8 (3) or triplets. To double check, I tabbed to transient and quantized to the grid and it sounded the same.

You can see how “Inst 1” and “Audio 5” only line up on 1/4 notes. The 1/8 notes in “Audio 5” are swung.
