Unless you want to use a TV as your second monitor, or unless you have a monitor with svideo input, you will either need to add a second video card (not recommended), or get a video card that supports dual outputs.

I beleive the current one being popularly recommended is the ATI 9600

I have the ATI 9200 SE and it works great. Depending on which monitors you are using, you might need a DVI to VGA adapter, but some of the cards come with them (mine did).

CRT and VGA are the same so just add a second CRT. OSme video cards have a VGA and a DVI out so you need to add a DVI/VGA converter or buy an LCD flat screen with DVI input. Most people like to use 2 of the same size/brand of monitor but its not mandatory. You will have to go to display properties and enable/setup the second monitor.
