Pro Tools Closing

I am running Pro Tools 7.1 HD and every so often when I am running a pretty large session, Pro Tools will suddenly close out of no where. Usually it happens when I am focusing on a small portion of the song and stopping and starting very frequently. I have already run the tech support utility and reset the preferences. Any thoughts on what might be causing this and how to fix the problem?

Hi,

System drive/users/your name/library/logs/crash reporter/pro tools... and see if there is a crash log for the time is quit. copy paste the crash log here!!

try opening your activity monitor in Utilities and see if you are running out of System memory.

First off, send the crash log to Chris. He can help you a great deal.

Second, if it's crashing when you are doing micro editing, it sounds to me, with the information you provided, that your disc is not reacting fast enough to handle the work. It could be a myriad of things from there, but you could try around robin allocation by starting a new session and setting it to round robin disk allocation and then import the session data.
