Default Cannot find cfd.dll file: PLEASE READ

You will get this error if you install Pro Tools before installing the Win 98 Wave Driver. Resources must be assigned to the hardware before Pro Tools is installed. Therfore, it is imperative that you follow the installation procedure documented in Chapter 3 (specifically, pages 18 and 19) of the Digi001 or Toolbox XP Quick Start Guides.

It has come to my attention that some Win98 users do not have the Digi001 or ToolBox XP Quick Start guide for Pro Tools 5.0.1 (either you purchased 5.0.1 and got the Quick Start guide for Mac only, or purchased ToolBox expecting PT 5.0.1 in the mail when we released it).
Never Fear! The Quick Start Guides for both Digi001 and ToolBox XP for PTLE 5.0.1 are available for download in .PDF format (Adobe Acrobat Reader required) from our website at: http://www.digidesign.com/support/documents.html You can also find them by navigating on our website (http://www.digidesign.com/)to the Support>Support Center>Manuals and Documents link.
