Default strange waveform

just got some audio taken off a DA-88. I've attached screenshot of wavefile.
It sounds o.k. but appears odd.Can anyone tell me why it looks like this?

Lightbulb Re: strange waveform

It looks like the 2nd channel in the purple waveform is correlated to the channel with the green waveform. The 1st channel in the purple waveform is uncorrelated to the other two channels in your screenshot.

As for why it looks like a modulated triangular wave, I have no idea.

Seeing as there are at least 10 cycles of the noise waveform per subframe, its frequency is 23976 Hz or more, depending on your session frame rate. It sounds OK because that noise signal is inaudible. A low-pass filter may get rid of it.
