distortion on PTLE
Greetings, all.
I'm running PTLE 6.4 with an mbox on a G4 iMac. I'm having a problem with tracks recorded at a "real" studio into PTHD that I'm now trying to mix at home--they're distorting when I import them. There's no distortion when I play them on QuickTime through my computer speakers, so it doesn't appear to be a problem with the tracks themselves (also, they're not clipping the VU meters at all). And when I re-export them out of ProTools and open those files in QuickTime, they are distorted, so I don't think it's the cheap headphones I'm using to monitor. Has anyone else experienced this and/or any idea what to do about it? Any help is much appreciated. -Joshua Diamant |

Re: distortion on PTLE
are the tracks sounding distorted even if you bring their volume down in ptle? have you summed all the tracks to a master fader and if so, are the individual tracks ok but you're hearing distortion only when they're summed together??
