OT-looking to upgrade Rode NT2 to NTK (worth it?)

Hello,

I have a Rode NT2 and was reading some real good reviews on the Rode NTK. For the people who have had experience with both, would it be worth it? or is there something in that budget that would be better. The cheapest I have seen the NTK is $389.00

(I would be using the NTK mainly for vocals)

They are both great and both different. I would suggest you just go get an NTK and keep the NT2. I use the NT2 on vocals, male singer, all the time. The NTK wasn't quite as good with this singer. I love the NTK though, I have two. The NTK is deffinately worth it.

Agreed, both have unique characteristics. IMHO one can't have too many mics, save a bit more and add the NTK to your collection.

That's just the thing: the NTK is likely THE BEST vocal mic in that budget, judging by what this forum has to say about it, and my experience. Additionally, I thought I just recently read a post saying you can swap out the tube in the NTK to get different things from it.

Can you please post me a link to where you found it for 389.00...........i just got one from GC and i could only find'em for 419.00.Hey every little bit counts huh??
