use the controller keyboard as a tone module too, or just as controller?
is there any advantage to using the keyboard i have in my studio as just a controller, instead of as another tone bank as well as as a controller? i have lots of sounds so if it really makes life simpler to have a "dedicated" controller, i can stand to do so. thoughts?

Re: use the controller keyboard as a tone module too, or just as controller?
Hi there,
Dedicated controllers are (usually) cheaper, but as long as your keyboard has a Local Switch set to Off, it's as good as, if not better than, a dedicated controller. I use a Kawai K5000S as my master keyboard. Beautiful keys, and equally beautiful sounds. Prior to that, a Yamaha AN1x, but always a synth as my controller. At the end of the day, it's really only up to personal preference. Phil.
