If you register you can do an offline install and activation instead of using their 'Download Command Center'.
Formats: 64bit and 32bit VST 2.0, VST 3, 64bit and 32bit AAX (I only checked on Windows)
Enjoy, it sounds good.

Tip: Some browsers don't work well with the form, maybe use OS default browser.

64 bit only.

I checked, it installs both 32bit and 64bit AAX. Just check your
folders:
64bit: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\Cakewalk
32bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\Cakewalk

Nah, they've always made Instruments and FX -- they make 'em for VST3, VST2.0 and AAX used to make RTAS.
Always have and most likely always will.

Their recording s/w (Sonar) is vst but for a couple of years now they've been doing plugins for other formats. And this year they're releasing a public alpha of a Mac version of Sonar.
