Question Trial version of PT10.2?

Today I downloaded and started using the trial version of PT 10, which is v10.0.0.

I was wondering - is there any way to demo 10.2? I'm keen to check out the bugfixes.

Connect to the internet, open Pro Tools and tell it to check for updates. That may work. Are you suffering any bad issues with 10.0? I had no major issues with either 10 or 10.1.2. Only reason I even tried 10.2 was because I can revert easily as I save drive images at each stage.

Thanks - the main thing I wanted to test is problems with occasionally silent tracks (which should be playing) and distorted noise during the playback of fades - both of which have happened apparently randomly with 9.0.6.

The in-program updater told me that 10.0.0 was out of date but didn't appear to offer an update. However, I've now found the 10.2 download links at the bottom of this page - http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/d...ls-10-2-Update - so will try those.

Quick update - in case anyone else is looking for this info - yes, it's fine to install the 10.2 update (since it's a full installer, you need to remove 10.0.0 first) and run it from the 30-day trial license.

Edit: although I do now get a '403 - Forbidden: Access is denied' message when I open the help browser from within Pro Tools. Hmph.

Edit again: fixed the 403 error by going to the 'marketplace' page and logging into my Avid account, then reopening Help.
