So you actually have pt8 running on Windows 7? If so, it won't be for very long. Version 8.0.4 is the first version compatible with windows 7.

windows 7 and PT8 working perfect with my old mbox 1....jus cant get it to recognize my mbox 2....

Hi,guys, I have the similar problem with My Mbox2 mini and installing ProTools 8 LE on my Windows 7 (my laptop is Sony Vaio F series, Intel core i7) but even worse.
After I start ProTools 8 installer and prompted to connect the DigiDesign device, I do that and the installation freeze on "Installing Digidesign hardware drivers" that's just on the 10% of the installation !???
Please help with Any suggestions what to do?

Mirro - The installation instructions are a little misleading. You are actually supposed to use the following method: Install pt8 DO NOT CONNECT YOUR HARDWARE WHEN PROMPTED - JUST CLICK "NEXT". You will then need to download and install the 8.0.4 update (this is the first version of pro tools that is actually compatible with Windows 7.) When installing this update - NOW CONNECT YOUR DEVICE WHEN PROMPTED AND PROCEED WITH THE INSTALL.

I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination but I have surfed these forums extensively and this is the method you should use when doing a fresh install.
