Melbourne Post Sound services?

If this is posted in the wrong area, excuse me.

I'm wondering if anyone knows the best place to hire a 5.1 Pro-tools rigs in the Melbourne area? I'm possibly going to be posting a feature out there and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction, this would save me shipping my own rig from London!

I would possibly be interested in hiring a room within a facility if anyone could help me there as well.

Thanks for the information. I know of Roger and the guys at soundfirm, through various ADR requirements.

I must have heard some of your work as I was editing at Twickenham when they final mixed 'Elizabeth'. Great job all round! I seem to spend half my life there. I've never worked with Mark, but know him and Sam quite well!

I'm married to an Aussie, and will hopefully get to do this work out there in the near future, so will be sure to drop you a line. Likewise, I'm on [email protected], if you happen to be heading out this way!

I dont have a 5.1 rig, but I can with help with any effects editing and pre mixing
I have Ten years experience working in TV.

Music and effects have a 5.1 ProTools HD rig I believe, though those guys mainly work with fairlights.

Other than that its Soundfirm with Roger.

Have you guys seen House of Flying Daggers its a Chinese film. Its my favourite sound in any movie and it was mixed at Soundfirm.

I've worked at Soundfirm for five years and can say they are the best in Australia. Roger is very fair and I'm sure he will cut you a deal.
