Control Faders?? Another Athlon Success!

1st, I've seen a few of these control surfaces I could use with the digi box, but most come as standard with eight faders.
Please Please tell me I'm not mistaken in thinking that these faders can only control eight of your tracks in a mix, but can be routed or punched to groups of eight and include midi tracks??????

2nd Keep going any frustrated Athlon users, got mine working like a dream after nearly three months of complete torture.

Fixed in the end by getting the latest BIOS for the board, tweaking the bios and installing the latest version of pro-tools LE.

Its amazing now, absolute masses of plugins running on 24 tracks.
