I see avid advertising 40% off the instrument expansion pack if you buy pt9. I bought the crossgrade from sweetwater but have not recieved any discount code.
How does this work, Avid?

I cant speak for Sweetwater but when I bought mine in the Avid Store the PT+PTIEP bundle was listed as an option in the pricing list. You should get ahold of your sales rep and see if he can help you.

The easy way was to order it form the Avid Webstore including the IEP, but since you purchased just the PT9 from Sweetwater, you'll need to get the discount code after registering. You might have to wait until November 11.

I'm interested in the same thing, I downloaded the Cross Grade only, but I did get an email from AVID saying that if you purchase pro tools 9 before December 17 you can get the instrument expansion pack at 40% off. I also saw sometning stating this will start on November 11th. I tried calling AVID but NEVER able to get anyone on the phone ther but the switchboard operator. So I'll see what happens on the 11th.

I understand many of Avid employees were at AES over the weekend and are returning today (Monday). Try calling on Tuesday and report back what they say.

I ordered the cross grade through a Sweetwater sales rep and asked about the 40% off instrument expansion pack and he added it to my purchase right then.
I opted not to do the electronic download and am receiving the Boxed PT9 tomorrow and he said it would be a week or so until they had more of the Instrument Expansion Boxes to ship out. I purchased this past Friday 11/5 when I received the email from Avid. I'll play with it all this coming weekend.

Strange. I bought it online from Sweetwater and did not notice anything like this. I Was however on a ADC IN PLE- high so I might have just missed it while clicking like mad and typing my name like there`s no tomorrow... :P
Still. Would be sweet if someone from Avid would chime in on this.
