I would prefer to characterize this as intuition...

I made the prediction that new TDM cards were coming based on logic. As soon as Avid released HEAT in Pro Tools they tipped their hand that TDM cards were coming. I could be wrong, we'll see.
The nice part is nobody can fire me.

still holding fast....hoping for a fresh enlightenment

there are 4 slots in my 7 slot
magma just calling for a nice PICx card to be installed in it

HD7...and those could work later in my new 12 core i buy when the time is right

correct?

but a new card...who knows how powerful it could be...and will my old card function in tandem?

I believe what Avid needs to do to sell new cards is free up existing slots. Such as a TDM 3 in a one slot fomat, then you can install a UAD2 card and have a slot left over.
In addition to increased power, freeing up slots to increase sales is critical IMO.

I guess Magma is calling AVID every day to tell them not to bring one mega powerful TDM card out. The day of the release Magma must look for another business.
