Mixerless setups??

For those people using a mixerless setup but using ext pres and converters what is your setup like and what type of music do you do.?
I am about to dump my (2) Yamaha 01v's and MOTU 2408 since I pretty much work only with PT now since I have dumped my DA-88's.
Looks like I'll be adding the Benchmark DAC-1 for monitoring but I have strong thoughts of an analog mixer for the ease of working on things when not tracking probably in the $3.5 - 4k price range.
The most I track in a single pass is 2-tracks so the mixer investment seems a bit wasted so I'm digging around other choices.
I now pretty much use one of 6 Preamps >>>Rosetta>>>DIGI001 SPDIF
return path is DIGI001 Lightpipe >>>01v

The 01v's are used for monitoring on the front as well as the back.
