Center Playhead transport use

Hi all,

I posts the following in the PT12 section, regarding an issue we are having with Center Playhead scrolling mode and got no bites. I'd really appreciate it if someone with 11HD would try out the following and let me know if it works - if so I might roll-back to 11HD. We don't have 11HD running anywhere here to try it ourselves.

I've just upgraded a Colleague's room to PT 12 on a newMacPro. He was previously using PT10, we skipped 11 in this facility.

He is used to using Center Playhead scrolling mode for everything, and has done for years. Countless times a day he uses the Keypad 1 key to rewind, then hits the spacebar twice (stop rewinding as it's in rewind latch mode, and play). Since we've installed 12, the spacebar will stop a rewind, but not then start playback. He has to left-arrow to go back to wherever the edit marker is then it will work. In any other scroll mode than Center Playhead, the normal rewind,stop,play sequence works fine. Keypad is in Transport mode of course.

Are we missing something, or is this an 'undocumented feature' introduced in PT12?

Works as you want in PT11HD, but Win7, with Scrolling continuous :
1 - latch rewind
space bar - stop
space bar - playback

Hi Joachim,
Thanks for taking the time to try this. It works for me too in Continuous Scrolling mode (as well as Page Scrolling). It's in Center Playhead scrolling mode (different to Continuous) that we are having trouble.

My bad, didn't know about that HDX/HD Native-only mode.
