The betas have been around for quite some time. Well, Spectrasonics announced this today, so don't shoot the retweeter, as the kids say.

Ive been thinking to get Omni for a while... but a quick question if I may!.

IS it heavy on cpu/mem? with a 40gb lib of sounds I have a feeling you cant run too much in a session...

I often stack VI's (if Im doing any scores or film music) i.e 8 Nexus playing together.. can this be done with Omni? or is that outta the question?

Thanks

I think you will have no problems in pt11. Before, yes, it was a problem. The 40 gigs are because there is a billion patches. Trillian has wayyyyy heavier patches. Some up to a gig. Atmosphere not so. Plus you can select to load light versions, I guess with fewer layers or fewer samples per range.

Not shooting the messenger; just saying I've had what is the latest version since I got the upgrade to Omnisphere from Atmosphere two weeks back. Maybe what was the final beta was the now released version? Either way don't depend on the web page for downloading the latest version as they don't show (as of this morning USA eastern time) aax format. If you check from within Omnisphere it'll show whether one has the latest version and that's how I found that out.

Actually, as of last night, it does not. It will show that your current version, (if you have loaded the latest), is out of date by being newer that the latest version according to their website. They still need to synch a few things it seems... ;-)

Hopefully they have fixed the CTD's for PT11 that a few were experiencing.

Not mine; I did the check today and I have the latest version according to the app's check with the website. But like I said when I checked the website earlier today before I did the check via the app the website didn't show aax support and I did not get an out of date message from the in app check with the website. Something is definitely is whacky.

Been running fine in PT11. My only gripe is Spectrasonics has still not seen fit to do a standalone version of any of their instruments, going back to Atmosphere.
