Setup help! Can anyone help the new guy?

I need to know how to run Mics < Mixer < Mbox2 < Pro Tools LE 8

And once I'm setup I need to know how to actually record from the mics I have plugged into my mixer

I will assume you have very little knowledge here(so no offense is intended). Hopefully you are ware that this is still only giving you 2 paths into Pro Tools(IOW, you aren't going to record 8 drum mics to 8 separate tracks this way). Try to think about signal flow in terms of water(your audio) and pipes(cables, mixer, Mbox, Pro Tools). You start with the source which the mic is in front of. The signal travels down the cable to the mixer(mic input), out of the mixer(any LINE level output, probably on a TRS connection, but could be an XLR out) down another cable to LINE inputs of the Mbox(TRS inputs) and on into your session. Since the Mbox has 2 line level inputs, you may as well patch the L&R outputs of the mixer into those inputs. Coming into focus?

I agree with Albee. You only really get two inputs unless you are submixing to two channels.
