Lost Pro Tools disk

I have recently lost my Pro Tools 5.3.1 disk due to change of residence i was wondering if anybody know a contact i could get for the disk

Yup, contact Digi, and with your valid registration number I'm sure they'll send you a replacement.

I ALWAYS use Clone CD to make a backup of all my software and keep the original CD's in a safe place, so if I do misplace a CD I've got another one ready to go in the original.

It's just too damn expensive to risk.

If you still have your "getting Started Guide" book that came with your PT Rig, you should have and authotization code, that you may be able to use on the digi downloads section of their site ??? I'm not sure, I've never had to D/L a full version of PT.

However, with your auth code, you may be able to D/L a version that'll get you up and running till you can call Digi Customer support on Monday.

I was able to download a full version of 5.3.3 when I bought my Mbox and only got the Mac disc in the box..They sent me the disc a couple of weeks later.

Can you burn backups of PT on ordinary CD's? Or do they have to be DVD's.

When I download Pt's upgrades and things I just burn them to ordinary CD's..If I have to reinstall I use those.

i just realized i didnt even get a chance to register it and i have no idea where the register form is
