Avid will announce new DSP product(s) next week!

I'll reserve judgement for now and of course I hope that whatever they present is great but my kneejerk reaction is that I would much rather they focus on bug fixes, UI modernization and the long list of oft-requested features.

Ok, i figured it out. After some research i did, they will extend the successful Cloud Collaboration feature with DSP.
Now, one can get more DSP via the internet, just by clicking the bolt button found on each channel. That will require an additional DSP Annual Plan of course, with various tiers to choose from!

I think Avid will release an ‘attractively’ priced Thunderbolt 3 DSP acceleration box.

This in the hope that plugin developers will start porting over their plugins to the AAX DSP format also giving their HDX system more cachet. HDX compatible plugins are relatively scarce.

The UI and technology stack it's been using has needed an update for a long while (no that does not mean breaking how things nicely work).... that could be really great to see. If that is also targeting cleanup for macOS 11 and arm that would be fantastic if that's a part of the announcement. And that might all be leaping to conclusions, but we'll see. OTOH if Avid don't provide some info on Arm futures at all in any major anncements of new things I'll be mightilly unimpressed... especially as this happens a few days after the event where Apple is expected to unveil the first Arm Macs (I hope Avid is on the ball and that timing is not an accident ).
