Default Cloud with 2020

My cloud storage show 600 Mb used, yet I have no projects. I've never used PTFirst, but I did collaborate unsuccessfully with a colleague of mine. We gave up after it didn't work, and scrapped everything(I think). I want to know how to get the cloud back down to 0%.

Any solutions at all? I've searched the internet, and it keeps telling me to delete my projects. When I sign in to PT2020, the dialog says 'No Projects'. It's a mystery to me. all I want to do is make sure that there is all of the space allotted to me, before I purchase the yearly upgrade. I want to purchase the studio upgrade to store my sessions/projects on, but I want to make sure that I won't lose anything. Right now, with 600 becoming a phantom, I'm a little leary.

Why? It does not work. You proved that for yourself. Storage under 1GB is not costing you anything. DUC is full of stories of woe about foks with cloud storage issues.

Wow, thanks Darryl, I believe that you've just saved me a whole lot of money

Will check this out to see why it isn't releasing that space and report back via support case.

Thanks so much Jeffro, That cleared it up. You have restored my faith in the system.
I'm once again ready to dip my toe into the cloud waters. I pray that I don't become another one of those upset DUC users that Daryl is referring to. My Pro Tools ride has been relatively smooth since I started using it in the late 90's. Yes, I've had my 'on/off' problems from time to time, but for the most part this has been my 'go to' daw. I do appreciate the support that I have received when I couldn't make some minor things work correctly.
Once again,
Thank You
p.s. now if you can help me figure out why my 'user' button on my S3 doesn't work, I'll be jumping for joy!!!!!

Oops, I forgot to ask:
Everywhere that I look, I keep seeing that 'cloud' is for collaboration. My question is, can I use it for just storing my personal sessions without the need for collaboration? If so, am I limited to the 3-project rule?

Don't do that with Avid cloud... that forces you to store stuff as those unreliable Projects not Sessions. A huge number of people here back up sessions to cloud storage using Google Drive, Apple iCloud, Dropbox etc. The dumber the cloud service the better. You could just copy your session folders to any cloud storage. The thing to be careful of is not to run Pro Tools on those cloud storage images. It might run but will be unreliable, and you especially cannot collaborate with other users over sessions on cloud storage. The way I use cloud storage is the sessions live/are used only on local disks, I then to compress sessions into archives (use similar to gzip) and upload to Google Cloud using a script that calls a Google cloud API, but you could just use drag and drop that compressed archive (but not the session itself) to a Google Cloud folder. Compressing the sessions into one big file and uploading to the cloud means everything is packaged into one thing and makes it impossible to accidentally run the session from cloud storage, and you can manually keep a running set of backups over time. And although I could automate this. I manually to run my backup script... I want to know that Pro Tools is not running (although I could have the script check that) and I want to manually select what session(s) to back up and when.

Okay DR, I get what you’re saying. I have been using Dropbox to store, and share my sessions for years. It really works well, except that DB isn’t as straightforward as it used to be. ‘Paper, transfer, etc’ I was just wondering if the Avid cloud was simple to use. But, since I would have to change my data to projects, I will pass. Right now, I am not lacking for space on any of my SDDs. I wanted to check out cloud for backup, just in case. Believe it or not, I have run some sessions from DB, also iCloud. I was probably able to because of GB Ethernet, and 128G of ram. Guess I had better stick to what works for me.
Once again, thanks🙏🏾

I'm happy with my 100gb storage space on Google Drive. The cost is very little, and I can give access to the files to others if I want. I can even let them have read/write previleges, provided they have a google account. Simple and cheap, as Darryl mentioned.
