Fatal License Error with 20.1 Update
Hi Jeff or Eddie,
I just tried to update to 20.1 from 2019.12 which was running fine yesterday. I'm getting a "Support date is no longer valid. Please contact Avid support" error message at the end of the update on the S6 MM. But my support contract is valid into next year and the update to that occurred before the previous one lapsed. Aren't we not supposed to have to update licenses anymore as long as we keep our contracts current? Please Help! Russ |

Glad you got it going.
Yes it is possible that even though you are active with your support plan that upgrading the Master Module will trigger the licensing to verify that you are still current, requesting a new license. I know they are trying to improve the efficiency of this process. I will certainly pass on the feedback. best, Jeff |

I got the same error message today.
But I don't know what to do with the link. In my account the license is active. but I can not start PT |

Is your error with S6 or Pro Tools?
