Digi 002 " Running out of CPU" error message...

Hello everybody...my problem is this... i have a Digi002 Version 6.1 with a control surface, running on a dedicated PC ...which is a Dell Dimension 4600 Desktop 2.66 Ghz speed with 2gigs of ram utilizing Windows XP home edition and i connected only once to the internet 3 years ago to authorize software.. I run my wave files from my external firewire hard-drive ( AcomData 320GB)...but when i copied the file with the wave files over to the internal "C" drive it does not resolve the problem...i keep getting an error message "Running out of CPU" which also causes the system to freeze up... i opened up the task manager and the only prgram running was "Pro Tools" LE, with an open pro tools session with only 3 plug-ins being utilized.. and the CPU meter is fluxuating between 91% to 97%.. how can this be??? and how can i fix it? I purposely over built my system with Dell to prevent these problems...
