Oh Joy! That 002R tick tock & die subject AGAIN
I actually knew my turn would come...
Only a couple of weeks into a hectic session and my "new" 002R is already screwing up. And the search for "power harness" and related FW issues also sucks here. I'll assume I either have the crappy power harness issue or a bad Digi FW cable issue. Green sample rate button on front 002R panel switches off then on about every 60 seconds with the internal "tick tock" sounds preceding this. All along launching ProTools has it spewing the usual error windows about try reconnecting etc. This sucks when my sales rep assured me this 002R was from the new batch that has long ago addressed this issue. What horses!@t! Let's see if I get that quick response for a new power harness and if it will in fact fix the problem.

Re: Oh Joy! That 002R tick tock & die subject AGAIN
got a 002r 5 months ago and its started ticking and loosing its connection this week
its a joke and the local digi rep wont touch it because apparently digi want people to bring it back to where they bought it from, even if its in another country rather than having a helpful policy of repairing their machines regardless. |

Re: Oh Joy! That 002R tick tock & die subject AGAIN
Bigears,
I called Digi in LA from here in Canada, ordered a new power harness that arrived here the next morning! Installed the harness in 10 minutes and I've been tracking/mixing flawlessly every since (fingers crossed at this early stage). Any users I suggest as so many others have of the past couple years - replace harness & power supply if need be. I'm pretty sure the main harness was not seated properly as I removed and replaced it. Also treated the points with the 2 solutions provided with Digi replacement. Good luck!
