Default how do i slow playback of predefined .WAVs?

i successfully imported several .wav drum loops into ptf. however, i'd like to slow the tempo a little. i've tried a few things but it doesn't seem to affect the speed in which they're played back. any suggestions or am I out of luck and stuck with the 'sounding' tempos? thanks!!

I think if noone answered to a thread, you can delete it yourself....by choosing edit (the paper&pencil icon) and check the delete box, for every message you posted there. A thread without any messages will disappear by itself.

the thing you are looking for is an audiosuite plugin called pitch 'n time. This is a standard digirack plugin. Some people arent too happy with the quality though....

No it´s not Pitch ´n Time. It´s Time Compression/Expansion in the Audiosuite menue. First select the region you want to work with, then use Time Compression/Expansion and change length. If you want to change length without pitchshifting, make a cross in the little white square.

thanks for the replies! i tried using that feature but all i heard was gobbley-gook upon playback. am i missing a step? (maybe i missed checking the white box) what sliders to i move to just slow it down. there seem to be a lot of options that aren't really clear to me. THANKS!!!

In most cases it works, when you set a new length time, the length you want, by double-click on the time on the right side -> the type new length.Do not use the sliders prmarily

But the real problem is, is when you change the length of a groove, your whole drums/percussions get longer. your "ISCH" snare makes after time expansion "IIIIISCHSCHSCH". That sounds not natural. Extreme changes will cause artefacts and maybe strange, distorted sound.

You need to find the Digirack Plug-Ins Guide in the documentation and read the instructions. There are some complex interactions with the Compress-Expand tools (as there are with the pitch-shift ones) that will waste a lot of time until you understand what the controls do.

You can use the two tools: Compress-Expand and Pitch Shift together in different order to create some very useful stuff; but the time spent on finding out what you're doing will be a great investment.
