Default Re: AVID Sync HD "Unable to establish communication"

Could it be a dud cable? I'm not sure I put a whole lot of faith in the Sync I/O aspect of digitest. It doesn't seem anywhere near as thorough...

A factory restore might help?

To reset all parameters to default settings:
1 Switch off power to the SYNC peripheral and
wait at least 10 seconds.
2 Hold both the Up and Down front panel switches and turn on power to the SYNC periph- eral. Do not release the Up and Down switches until the display reads “FAC-CFG.”
