HP Pavillion What Problems??????

With windows Me on an HP Pavillion with 192 meg ram has anyone gotten any type of performance out of 5.1.1 LE.....or is it worthless for me to try and scrap this computer for using it with a 001 system.....I just bought a Mix system for Mac G4 and my best freind wants my 001 ....id love to give it to him but i understand that the pavillion has problems running 001....but since hes getting it for free i m wondering if hell be able to use it at all or need to buy a new PC [img]images/icons/confused.gif[/img]

There were two AMD chipsets that did not work with the HP Pavillions and Digi001. They were the AMD750 chipset (HP called it Pandora but it was an Asus K7M motherboard) the other was the Alimagic chipset. If you have a P3, chances are good that it will work. We use one everyday with very few problems. Go to www.hp.com and enter your model number in the search box and see which chipset you have. As far as the P4 Pavillions I don't know of anyone using one here so I can't comment.
