system freezes after launching Protools 7

Hello everyone,

I 've bought the downloadable version of PT7 today, and installed it without any problem,on my new macbookpro with tiger 10.4.6.
After the restart however, a problem occurs lauching PT; A gray screen scrolls down from the top of my screen, and a textbox tells me:
restart your system.

Everything is frozen, restart by powering off the computer, is the only way to go.
After the first restart, There was no digi map in my apps-folder although the PT icon was shown in the dock.

I did uninstall the program, and installed it again, the apps-folder did show the digi map now, but a frozen computer is the only thing, that I get, upon launching the program.

This is my first Mac too, so I am hit twice, by not knowing what to do now.

Is there anybody that can help me ?

You need to download and install the Pro Tools 7.1.1 update for Intel Macs.
