Unable to install Plugin-ins via Application Manager
I have just installed Pro Tools on my system (macOS Sierra - Subscription version 12.8.1)
It's my first time using the Avid Application Manager and when trying to install the Avid plug-ins I get the following text... Failed Install: First AIR Effects Bundle install failed. This installation already started. It's been like this for the whole day, I've tried closing the manager and logging in again to no avail. I know it's possible to download them straight from avid and install manually but is there anyone that might have a fix for this? Thanks for reading. |

Re: Unable to install Plugin-ins via Application Manager
Most people end up dumping the Application Manager and doing things the manual way.

Re: Unable to install Plugin-ins via Application Manager
Wow, as obvious as that was, would you believe I hadn't tried rebooting. After the PT12 reboot I just never thought of it. Thanks for the help!

Re: Unable to install Plugin-ins via Application Manager
Reboots can solve a lot of computer problems. Sometimes you have to do what I call a 'cold reboot' where the computer and peripherals are completely shut down and restart from there.

Re: Unable to install Plugin-ins via Application Manager
What version of AppMan are you using? I had problems with 17.8.0 but updating to 17.9.0 fixed the quirks
